Senior Manager, Lead Clinical Operations Biogen

Adama Ibrahim is an innovation award winning clinical development professional that has spent 16 years of her career working in the NHS on commission by the Department of Health as part of the West London Cancer Research Network and for European and North American Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies (Hoffman La-Roche, Amgen, ALMAC, ICON and Biogen). 

Her experience has seen her work across various facets of the industry landscape which has enabled her to develop a rich understanding around developing and execution of research protocols, successful CRO oversight, expertise in use of technologies such as l IVRS, creating packaging concepts for cost effective drug supply and administration, developing effective global patient recruitment, retention and engagement campaigns, and finally managing remote and complex global teams.

Notable Achievements in various companies during include:

  • Developed a strategy for an optimal site communication interface (for engagement and advocacy).
  • Performed visits to sites in the UK, US, Spain, Czech Republic, Poland and Serbia to gain insights.
  • Setting up and Chairing Leadership workshops.
  • As the Women Innovation Network UK Co-Lead contributing to initiatives such as inclusion and diversity awareness events and developing mentorship programs.
  • Trustee for a Youth Charity in London and Ad-hoc advisor and fundraiser for a Global Foundation that focuses on advancing healthcare in Africa.
  • Change agent for new initiatives such as risk based monitoring, use of lay summaries, end of study surveys and unblinding risk Kaizens.

Publications, training delivered and presentations include the following:

  • Investigators Meetings in San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, London, Madrid, Prague and Warsaw.
  • European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) in 2013 (Copenhagen), 2014 (Boston) and 2015 (Barcelona).
  • Presented to Principal Investigators at American Association of Neurology(AAN) conference, 2015, Washington.
  • Presented own research about modeling patient recruitment pathways in colorectal cancer at the Tripartite Meeting for the Association of Coloproctology, 2005 (Dublin).
  • An author on several abstracts and posters.

 

She is a graduate, has attended EORTC courses in Brussels and is currently undertaking an Executive MBA at Henley Business School.  In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, travelling and spending time with her daughter.
