Bio: Dan McDonald is a seasoned clinical research executive with more than 20 years of experience
supporting biopharmaceutical companies with the planning and execution of their pivotal trials. Dan
serves as vice president of business development, working from Imperial’s Boston offices, to identify
opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and manage contract negotiations. He also supports Imperial
teams and clients as a subject matter expert in patient engagement.  Dan has written for many industry
publications, is a popular conference presenter, and has conducted numerous workshops on patient
recruitment for clinical trials. He has authored chapters in several books on patient recruitment, clinical
research in India, and clinical trial registration and is co-author of the ebook “How to Turn Around a
